‘Phalanges Conflictus’ photographed in London, United Kingdom, 2020 by Ugne Pouwell.
The series of Phalanges (finger bones in Latin) is an experimentational project of how a hand can express a state of being. Ugne shot this photo as a reflection of the human state of capture. This complex composition captures two hands entangled: conflictus. Ugne has used this composition to envision the bond between two people and the complexities that come with it. How you can get captured by it, trapped almost. It’s best enjoyed alongside ‘Phalanges Volant‘
‘Phalanges Conflictus’ is printed Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm fine art paper and measures 30 x 30 cm. It’s limited to just 20 editions.
Ugne signs and labels each print with a date and corresponding edition number by hand.
