BARDOT & L’HERMINE
A print by the French illustrator and artist Philippe Grimaud. Philippe took one of the great works of Leonardo da Vinci, ‘The Lady with an Ermine’, and gave it a modern interpretation. When you place to two works next to each other you will see that Phillipe stayed very close to the original. In essence only the lady was changed for Brigitte Bardot. He chose to depict the French actress not just for her stunning beauty, but also because she is a vivid protector of animal rights.
Philippe Grimaud created this pigment ink print using digital media and printed it on 190 gsm ‘William Turner’ paper. It’s a limited edition, limited to 30.
