HOT WORKED GLASS
‘Hot Pocket’ is a unique work of art by the German artist Heike Pohl. This glass sculpture was created during the artists’ studies in Bucharest and is part of her “Imprinted“ collection, a figurative collection produced by the pushing hot, viscous glass flat on a table and forming it by hand, using only wooden slates.
“Not only does this rare method of forming glass result in unique sculptures, it also transfers a deeper message. Just like our surroundings seem to rub off on us over time, the glass shows the marks of its creational process. It’s precisely this that gives these sculptures a natural aesthetic.” — Heike Pohl
‘Hot Pocket’ is sculpted from glass and measures 7.5 x 15 x 19 cm at weight of 0.9 kg.
