‘Weathermaker’ is a limited edition photograph by the Russian photographer Dasha Pears. This photograph is about control. The control we have over our own state of mind. When we realize it, we are capable of creating our own “clouds”.
“It suddenly occurred to her that she was the one who could create the weather. All by herself. If she wanted to cry, there was rain, if she wanted to smile, there was sunshine, when she wanted peace – she would put on clouds, they always brought comfort. She was the ‘Weathermaker’, in control of her own state and the weather in her mind.” — Dasha Pears
‘Weathermaker’ is printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle Bamboo Fine Art paper (290 gsm, 90% bamboo fibres, 10% cotton) and measures 30 x 30 cm. It’s limited to just 85 editions.
All Dasha’s fine art prints have a 3 cm (1.2 inch) border for framing and are signed on the front and on the back. They come with the story behind the artwork, as well as a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
