‘Peking Pastime’ is a limited edition photograph by the fine art travel photographer & journalist Ben Mckechnie. This photograph depicts a lady playing with a giant ribbon in Bell and Drum Tower Culture Square in Beijing, China.
“This image is a reminder to stay playful. For adults, play has been shown to release endorphins, stimulate creativity, and improve brain functionality. On a rare clear day in Beijing, older Beijingers venture out into parks and squares to dance and play—they don’t want money, they just love entertaining onlookers with their hobbies.” — Ben Mckechnie
Camera & lens: Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 24–105 mm f4 L lens
